Frieder Nagel finally returns to InFiné with a new series of his beloved retro-futuristic and symphonic electronica. Much more beat-focussed and with lots of pressure - but still driven by the same elegant balance between traditional instruments and his obsession for vintage synths.

"Do as I please" is a haunting anthem directly from the euphoric mid-2000s golden age of melodic club music and a constant hearing pleasure. As soon as the german composer and sound artist starts to improvise on his Moog and the muscle memory kicks in, the listener gets lost in a world between downfall and uprising.

"Do as I please" is about the endless fight between letting go and the wish to control. The inner dialogue inside everybody's head, between the inner voices of despair and hope. A reflection about the overwhelming wish to break out of the machinery, while at the same time longing for stability.
